Spanish National Police officers inspect cars at a roadblock in downtown Palma de Mallora, Balearic Islands on 10 August 2009, one day after three small bombs exploded in places frequented by tourists in the capital of the island of Mallorca. Few clues emerged in an investigation into the identities of the people who detonated at least three bombs on the Spanish holiday island of Majorca, according to Spanish media reports. Police officials could not even say for sure that the bombers were still on the island, reported the Spanish daily El Pais. It was also unclear if the bombers are the same people responsible for a deadly attack on two Spanish policemen in July.
